CZ put this pistol through serious testing. The U.S. Army requires 9mm pistols to function for at least 495 rounds between failures. The CZ P-01 averaged 7 stoppages in 15,000 rounds during testing – a failure rate of just .05%, or over 2142 rounds between issues.

For a long time, the P-01 had a NATO Stock Number (NSN) engraved on the frame, meaning it met NATO standards. Recent production runs may not include the NSN, but the quality remains the same.
