If you’re running a Gemtech MULTIMOUNT suppressor on a 9mm handgun, you’ll need a Linear Inertial Decoupler (LID). This isn’t an optional accessory – it’s required for proper function on pistols with Browning-type actions and 1/2-28 threading.
What it Does
The LID acts as a mechanical interface between the barrel and the suppressor. It reduces the stress on your barrel threads and significantly reduces recoil impulse, giving you a smoother shooting experience. It also improves sound suppression by maximizing the effective volume within the suppressor.
