A modern-production Remington 700 BDL in .270 Winchester, set up and ready to hunt. The 22-inch round barrel keeps its iron sights, and a Vortex Viper 6.5-20 scope is already mounted. Metal is matte blue, the stock is black synthetic, and a sling comes with it. Condition is very good with an excellent bore.
This is the kind of rifle Montana's general season was made for. Deer and elk open Oct. 24 and run to Nov. 29 in 2026, with earlier openers in backcountry districts 150, 280 and 316, and FWP sets no caliber or magazine limit for game animals, so a .270 bolt gun is lawful everywhere rifles are allowed. The 6.5-20 scope has the magnification for longer shots and the iron sights are a backup if the glass takes a knock. Wear 400 square inches of hunter orange above the waist.
