Rossi's R95 Trapper here is the walnut-stocked .45-70 Govt: a lever-action hunting rifle with a 16.5-inch threaded barrel, a buckhorn rear sight and black oxide metal. The listing carries a used condition flag, but the supplier describes the rifle as new, UPC 7CF038040U, and the photo is a stock image rather than this exact gun.

The threaded muzzle is what sets this Trapper apart from the plain version, leaving room for a brake or other muzzle device, and the walnut stock gives it the classic look over synthetic. A .45-70 lever gun with a 16.5-inch barrel is short enough for a saddle scabbard and quick to the shoulder in close cover, and Montana FWP imposes no caliber limit on rifles for game animals during the Oct. 24 to Nov. 29 general season. Firearm hunters wear 400 square inches of hunter orange above the waist, and the buckhorn sight is the quick iron-sight picture that kind of hunting calls for. Ask the dealer to confirm the condition in hand.
