Winchester Model 61 Takedown Rifle .22 S-L-LR

A 1952 Winchester Model 61, serial 153347: a pump-action, tube-fed takedown rifle chambered for .22 Short, Long and Long Rifle, with a 24-inch round barrel, blued metal, walnut furniture and the original butt plate. The front iron sight is in place, the rear sight has been removed, and Weaver-style scope bases are installed. The supplier notes moderate handling marks on the wood, wear and speckling across the metal finish, an excellent bore, and an overall good condition for its age.

This rifle suits a Montana shooter who wants a working vintage .22 rather than a shelf piece: the takedown design splits it for a truck or pack, the scope bases mean a scope goes on without drilling, and the tube magazine takes all three .22 rimfire lengths. The finish wear is honest use for a rifle of its years, and the excellent bore is the part that matters for shooting it. With the rear sight gone, plan on running it with a scope on those bases.
