This used Smith & Wesson 686-6 is a modern-production stainless steel double-action revolver in .357 Magnum with a 4-inch barrel, serial CTK1765. The bore is bright with strong rifling, the gun has the internal lock found on this generation of S&W revolvers, and it comes with a case. The supplier describes the overall condition as very good.

A 4-inch .357 is the all-round revolver size for a Montana owner: long enough to shoot well at the range, short enough to ride in a belt holster, and chambered for a cartridge that also serves at home. Montana does not require a purchase permit, registration or a waiting period, so the federal Form 4473, a current government photo ID and the FBI NICS check are the only steps between the order and the counter. Your FFL may charge a transfer fee, so ask before you order, and have the dealer confirm the very good grade when the revolver arrives.
