The Performance Shop edition of Benelli's SBE3 in 20 gauge, set up for waterfowl. It runs on Benelli's inertia-driven system and carries a carbon fiber vent rib, enlarged controls and a set of extended Crio chokes. The synthetic ComforTech stock, finished in marsh bronze camo, is fitted with a Combtech pad. The supplier lists it as new with a stock photo, while the catalog entry grades it used, so confirm which before you buy.

Waterfowl is the obvious job, and the oversized controls and camo stock are there for that. In Montana the same 20 gauge doubles as a lawful deer or elk shotgun with slugs or 0/00 buckshot, which matters in weapons restriction areas where rifles are not allowed, during the Oct. 24 to Nov. 29 general season. Put on 400 square inches of hunter orange above the waist before you do.
